Cathal is great teacher and he explains things very clearly. He has given me much more confidence as a singer. I would recommend Cathal for the simple reason is he really cares about his students and will endeavor to help them be the best they can be. Prior to my vocal training, I would not attempt to sing certain songs that I love. Whereas now, I know it’s only a matter of knowing how to sing them. I do all my own harmonies when recording and it doesn’t matter whether its high or low.
I am happy I decided to work with Cathal. I always thought I knew my voice the best, and that a vocal coach wouldn't make much of a difference. But after spending a year working together, I am amazed by how far my voice has come, and how working with Cathal has helped me in other parts of my music career like song writing and arrangement. I have been able to sing higher, and with more ease, than I could ever have imagined.
I'm no longer 'busting a gut' trying to hit notes. I can now not only reach these notes, I can do it with confidence and composure. I would say it's gone from a 5.5 to a 10!
Without working with Cathal, I don't think I would have landed my two most recent roles as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, and more recently the role of Tom Collins in Rent with Galway Musical Society.

It doesn't take long to realise while working with Cathal that there is no 'one size fits all' when it comes to singing – Cathal constantly adapts the method to meet the needs of your voice. The lessons are so individualised. Cathal is a technically brilliant singer and vocal coach. But even more important than that, is his ability to empower the people he works with. I would have never had the confidence or drive to pursue a career in singing without his encouragement and guidance.
